re: LSU Substance Abuse Policy

The policy suggests that athletes are subject to both NCAA testing and LSU aministered testing. My guess is that a member institutions's policy must be at least as stringent as the NCAA's policy. Or, perhaps the NCAA follows the member institution's policy.

Based upon my reading of the policy, it can be inferred that this is either a first or second violation. A third violation would have automatically resulted in a "[o]ne-year suspension from competition." In other words, the player(s) involved would be finished for the rest of the season and, possibly, at LSU. In my opinion only, this is a second violation because there is a suspension.
