Duramax is trouble free, but the 2011 requires urea. Stuff is pretty cheap. If money is a issue, go with the dodge . As someone said "great engine ,shitty truck". The fords engine is too new to go that route. Therefore i would wait a while on that. I have owned both duramax and dodge. Personally i prefer the Dmax/allison.
