Does the ROTC (or someone) still fire cannons during pregame festivities at/in/near Tiger Stadium?

yep....if you want full specifics, they fire a 75mm pack howitzer (which should be modified to fire only blanks)....that's a fun little cannon to play with!!!

do they fire it on the field...and when exactly do they do it? Reason I'm asking is that a friend is going to the game and his nephew is involved with ROTC and he wants to make sure that he doesnt miss it. Thanks

It happens when the team runs on the field through TGBFTL. He won't miss it.
It's placed in the SW corner of the stadium, just off the playing field.
