i use em, whenever possible... you can tell when a blade gets to that "questionable" stage.. when they get to that stage, change em out..

ETA: IMO

I shot those the last few years and I always change the blades after a shot but, I'm kind of anal about my equipment. I found that the ferrule gets bent and they won't spin after a shot. When they do that I replace em.

I hear ya. I shot those too. The rage is open through the center of the ferrule and, in my opinion, makes it weaker than some other broadheads. I will say that the ones that I've found bent were on pass through shots and that couldn't happened when it hit the ground?!?

I bought a pack of the titanium ones to try to combat that issue but haven't been able to send one through anything yet.

I replace the blades on my broadheads after the shot no matter what. For my fixed heads, I keep a pack of blades just for practice.

this

However, once I run out of new blades for my thunder heads and wasp stingers, I may go mechanical. I was thinking spitfires.

I have one piece NAP hellrazors, I missed a deer friday evening and it stuck in the dirt. I just cycled it to the other end of my quiver but I plan on reusing it if I have to. Is this bad?
At $10 a broadhead it'll get kind of expense to replace them everytime I take a shot at a deer.

I figure you can just sharpen them when they get dull

Yeah, I would resharpen those. I was talking more about replaceble blade heads, and especially mechs.

My logic is, if I get a shot at a once in a lifetime buck, I don't want a dull broadhead to cost me. I replace them.

No better price, just paid the $80. I did get to use one last week, shot a 200lb hog through the chest, the arrow came out low and broke the off side leg above the knee! I was kind of shocked by the carnage! Picked the arrow up put the blades back in place and it still spins true! Replace blades and shoot another one!!

Replace after every shot, it makes a difference. Now, I might keep one that looks good, not much deformity, in my 5 arrow quiver for a hog,corn-eating coon, other varmits that piss me off, but thats rare. Never shot something you really want to kill with a dull broadhead, or one thats been shot into anything, don't ask how I know, and how many times I've had to learn that lesson.

Is the titanium rage completely titanium or is it just the tip and not the blades or visa versa?
