I agree with sixth sense and the departed...
Maybe not what you are reffering to, but the end of Dumb and Dumber.. when they mess up a chance to get on the bus with the bikini models.... It was more of a "What the shite?!" facepalm moment.. but in a funny way

The script originally called for them to get on the bus. Jim Carey said there is no way that would happen and had it changed.

Perfect Stranger was a surprise and not in a good way. The whole movie is a giant lie. I hate when a script says "screw it" lets do the complete opposite of what the story is building up to and flip-it without any rhyme or reason despite everything we've already shown the audience.
