Did Mizzou play a bunch of bottom feeders from the SEC or the top teams i have no clue

We have played LSU,Auburn,Miss St and UGA of late and UF in the sugar bowl in the 90's

During the 2000's no top teams, mostly your middle pack teams like Ole Miss, Arkansas, South Carolina. During the 60's-80's most of the games I believe were bowl games. I've been trying to read up on Mizzou football history. I've got one book off ebay, got some books from the local library. Hell Mizzou have a good football/basketball history, maybe pro sports in Missouri make people look past Mizzou athletics.

But on a side note I don't think Mizzou belongs in the SEC. I'd rather WVU over Mizzou. Mizzou seems like a better fit with Big 12 or Big Ten teams.

i think mizzou and the sec are mutually using one another to add pressure on the big 10 and vt/fsu/unc, respectively. otherwise, slive is an idiot and should be fired if he truly wants mizzou in the sec.

Mizzou had 13,000 empty seats at their home opener

Which it is still higher than what WVU averages. It was in excess of 100 degrees that day when we were getting heat index levels of 115.

Add in field turf and it's even hotter. I thought the actual SEATING in the stadium was full when I watched on TV. I didn't see any empty bleachers/seats. 10,000 is a BIG chunk. The only empty "seats" was the grassy, rocky M hill which for some reason counts towards attendance. I don't see why people would pay money to watch a game on a "hill" with grass and rocks unless it's a ranked team.

Mizzou has been in the B12 North which is as weak or weaker than the BE.
Attendance of 45K was against mighty Bowling Green, it was 42 degrees and poured rain the entire game.
Mizzou is not even in the game when it comes to on the field results in FB and BB - it would be like comparing LSU to Arky or somethin like that.
WVU has played for undisputed MNC in Jan 1989, undefeated season in 1993, BCS wins in Jan 2006 and Jan 2008 against SEC and B12 Champs UGA and OU. NCAA tourney 7 of the last 8 years, one Final Four, and Elite 8 and 2 Sweet 16 and BE tourney champs in 2010. (and NIT champs the yr we didn't make the dance)
Misery - stick that in your pipe and smoke it hard boys.

Didn't lil weak ol Mizzou beat WVU in a BOWL Game, some Insight.com bowl or some shite like that.lol. And that was when Mizzou was down. I mean WVU should be killing Mizzou when they meet in football, especially Bowl games since WVU is superior. Remember Mizzou is NOT a football school.

WVU played in weaker football conferences, what the frick is the "Southern" conference and being Independent for a big time football program. Mizzou at least been in the Big 6, Big 8, Big 12 with power teams and teams that won NUMEROUS national titles.

Oh and get your endowment up, you guys are broke compared to Mizzou. Don't want to discuss money between the 2 schools. It's all about money, West Virginia and WVU don't have much of that. SEC wants a school with money, good education, good markets. Mizzou would have the 5th largest Endowment in the SEC behind Vandy, Tamu, Florida, and Arkansas

Oh and you compare LSU to Arky, um at least Arkansas can beat LSU, you guys had 2 chances and LOST. So the Arky and LSU comparison is a FAIL.

Control your fan base, heard numerous stories about how they throw shite, rude, etc. Doubt if SEC wants anymore of that shite in the conference. What the frick is burning couches, come on now.

Havent we already had this Converstation? Your in the Big East. Stop comparing success. You would not be anywhere near that in a more challenging conference. You guys should have multiple BCS Bowl trips. Your in the Big East. Again I respect WV but its a pretty asinine argument to try to equate two teams in very different conferences.

I agree, I don't really care for Mizzou. Only like them because of the shite they're doing for Joplin. I've been in Big 8/Big 12 Country. Can't compare the Big East to Big 12/8. How many National Titles do Nebraska, OU, Texas have since Mizzou been in the same conferences with those teams. I know it's a lot.

Like I said lil sorry ol Mizzou beat mighty WVU in a BOWL GAME when Mizzou was down in football. Just like Mizzou have a 7-2 record vs SEC in Bowls. Not bad for a school which some say SUCK in football. They'd be surprised about Mizzou football if they did some research and on the teams they've beaten. Since the Mizzou to the SEC shite been going on I actually started reading up on Mizzou football, they have a pretty good past. Being in Chiefs and STL Cardinals markets made me even over look them.

Plus the Years Mizzou been good in football either the Chiefs, Cardinals or Royals have been good in their sports during the 40's-present when it come to sports teams in Missouri. Another reason why people might over look Mizzou football.
