I wish I had gone to LSU so I could have watched out for him more

Glad Mike is doing well! Don't you worry, life is probably kicking the arse of the people you'd have had to watch out for at LSU. To say they didn't seem to deter him would be an understatement. The vast majority of us admired him for his obvious love for LSU and marveled at his dedication.

to you Mike!!!

That's awesome! I was a young kid during those years, and my family had season tickets. I definitely remember that guy. Glad to hear he's doing well.

Mike is a total sweetheart, and know that his family loves him very much and he is well taken care of.

I am so happy to hear that. I had a math class with Mike at LSU and was amazed at his knack for numbers. I got to know him a little since we had class together and I saw him at so many sporting events. Even though he was a little "different" by some people's standards, it was easy to tell that he had a good heart and that he meant well. He was a huge women's basketball fan, too, and was at every game (back then, fans were scarce and he was very easy to spot when watching the Lady Tigers!)

He does have Aspergers, but we didn't get the diagnosis until well after he was out of college. Back then, not much was known about this disease

This is very true. I know a couple of teachers who teach students with Aspergers, and I had never heard of it until very recently. Looking back, it makes sense to me that Mike has this based on what I now know about it.

I am glad to know he still knows his LSU sports! I still will never understand the obsession with Deion Sanders/MC Hammer though

Thanks for responding to the thread...knowing that Mike is doing well has truly made my day.

I am so glad to hear that he graduated from LSU and is doing well!!! Aspergers was "invented" (for lack of a better term) around 1994. My nephew is 20 years old and started college this fall and is also doing well. I hope for the best for your son and brother, Mike!!!!

P.S. I also did a paper for one of my last college classes recently on Aspergers Syndrome if you are interested in reading it! Let me know and I can email it to you....

welcome to TD.com

Mike was, and I'm sure is still, an unbelievable LSU fan. He was great to see in the stands representing the purple and gold! Thank you for sharing your updates on Mike.

This is a great place for him to share his love for LSU with like-minded zealots

Hope to hear more from him and your family,

I think he left school and now owns the Dallas Mavericks....

Now I know why Cuban has always seemed familiar to me.

I spoke to Mike Toole after a basketball game many years ago. Seemed like a nice guy. Yeah, I know...cool story, bro.
