If you had $100 to spend on a bottle of Scotch, what would you get?

Not for me, I'm content w/ Dewars. It's for my boss who's old and rich and a big Scotch drinker. Tia.

Roughly what's that run a bottle Paul? Is $100 too cheap to get a killer Scotch?

You can get the Macallan 15 Fine Oak for about $80 or so. It's a good one.

The Macallan Cask Strength is about $55 or $60. Another good one that is really deep, earthy, smoky and peaty. That's a great one for a chilly night.

This is my "good bottle" of liquor I keep in the back of my cabinet. I'm a huge fan.

You can get good ones for a hundred.

But you can go way up from there if you want.

You want?

The ones we listed are very good and by no means would a scotch drinker think you were going cheap.

I haven't tried that one yet. Once the nights get in the 40s I'll pick up a bottle and try it out.

Yea, lay it on me. What's the best scotch I can get. He's pretty much self made millionaire, white, still real active, about to turn 70, and Scotch is his thing. Take the price tag off and let er rip. Then tell me what it costs

Macallan has a 22 year cask strength for about $200.

I was given ( because I surely would not buy it) a 30 year old Macallan.

It is in the very back of my closet so no one visiting can get it. I pull it out late at night when it gets cold, pour me two fingers neat in a rock glass and sit on the porch or balcony and sip it while looking at the stars. Man it's a great treat. I've had it a couple years and still have about half. I don't know what I'll do when it's gone.

The 30 mentioned above is about $1,900.00

The 200 cask strength is very impressive.

And if you yourself like Dewars, try a Macallan 12 or a Glenlivit 12 which are good single malts and cost about the same as a Dewars.

Oban 18 is a little over $100, have had a few bottles and really liked them. Balvanie has a 21 Portwood for around that price as well that is a pretty phenomenal.

I would stay away from Johnny Walker only because I wouldn't buy it for myself as a "special" scotch.

Now you see why it's in the back of my linen closet.

And it's at least two years there. It only makes an appearance when the moon and stars line up. It was a gift and the guy that gave it too me doesn't have a pot to piss in now so my hopes of getting another are slim and divorce.

I'm sure he did geauxt. But I think his efficency at getting Leon to load the wheelbarrow is where the money came from.

I would think the money came from what was loaded in the wheelbarrow.

And I like to call them Mexican dump trucks.
