On phone so cant link. SEC has majority of presidents voting for Mizzou, but not yet the 9 needed.

Bama wants to wait for a better team & prefers that team come from East and play in East. AU in favor of Mizzou coming and AU moving to East. Also, Bama is concerned it wouldnt be able to play Tennessee annually.

There isn't a better team out there for us.

V-Tech is coming when we go to 16 but not before.

Eventually this will happen regardless. When we go to 16 in a few years, they aren't putting Bama, Auburn and Tennessee all in the same pod.

Alabama really needs to let this Tennessee shite go. It's just not feasible with the scheduling realities that are coming.

No, our natural place is in the east with Bama as our cross div. rival

Even if you're right, that just means we need Missouri even more

Despite the whining that would ensue from Bama fans, it would be Aub/Bama as cross-divisionals and we'd pick up Florida, Tennessee & USC.

We'd lose LSU which is a bummer given how great those games have been in the recent past.

But those are some great pickups for Auburn in exchange for the MS schools and Arkansas.

After all the talking heads saying it would be Florida, Georgia, or South Carolina blocking a new member, it ends up being Alabama.

I can see something like this being said by an LSU fan, who has no real rival. You don't just "let go" of your all-time historical rival. That was a stupid thing to say.

Simple solution - move both Bama and Auburn to the east and Vandy to the west.

LINK

Two sources familiar with the SEC's discussions about Missouri told The Birmingham News Wednesday that as of now it appears that a majority of SEC presidents and chancellors would support Missouri's application. But the sources said that majority falls just short of the nine votes required to add a new member.

My read is they are at 8 with UT and Bama voting no... Not sure who the other two are, but my guess would be Eastern Teams, so USCe and Florida voting no.

Why would you not guess that it's at least one of the other Tigers? I don't see any reason why USC or UF would have an issue.
