This.

Im okay with it, if that was in fact the plan. I gotta say i was a little nervous watching them move the ball with ease at times.

I guess we'll never know.

Negatigers will say it wasnt the plan, Positigers will say it was.

We rushed 4 50 to 55 times. We stopped playing tight man coverage in the 3rd quarter and played combination and zone coverage, at least until the gap closed to 6 points.

The "scheme" was intentional AND sound. The poor tackling (which I do not fully place on the players - playing a more passive defense does subconsciously affect the mindset of the players, and was partially responsible) is primarily on the players. This led to much of the excess yardage.

The other thing I point is is the field position on the key drives - they started most drives deep, giving them more room to gain against a bend-but-don't-break defense. They had a number of long drives that did not even get into FG range and punted anyway. Our long drives (save 1) ended in scores. When we did have a 3 and out, and punt, we punted it down their throats. When they punted, they did so very poorly.
