Has anyone noticed the Rays attendance?

The Braves get a lot of heat about attendance, but the Rays are absolutely embarrassing. At least 1/3 of the seats right behind home plate were empty.

Braves should have built a 37K stadium like most teams instead of 52K.

Part of that is because the stadium is like 45 minutes from Tampa.
The Braves have no excuse, as Turner Field is in the middle of the city.

Not as bad as the Marlins.

There were 22k there last night. Now on a normal night during the week they are lucky to get 8k. The Trop is a good 45 minutes from Tampa and even further from downtown. Miserable ride because of traffic and people are usually going during rush hour.

The Rays always catch the most crap regarding attendance. I don't know what is "embarrassing" about it though.

Until the Rays get a new stadium that's actually in Tampa, this won't change.
