Has anyone noticed the Rays attendance?

The Braves get a lot of heat about attendance, but the Rays are absolutely embarrassing. At least 1/3 of the seats right behind home plate were empty.

south florida has shitty fans

It's a terrible baseball facility, and difficult to get to from across the bay if you're in Hillsborough county or further east. What's Atlanta's excuse?

Braves should have built a 37K stadium like most teams instead of 52K.

Remember when Turner Field looked like this?
Posted on 9/28/11 at 8:39 am to Tigertown in ATL
Part of that is because the stadium is like 45 minutes from Tampa.
The Braves have no excuse, as Turner Field is in the middle of the city.

Turner Field is not an easy place to get to for a weekday game from suburban Atlanta.

And where do most Braves fans live? Suburbia
Traffic in ATL isn't a fun thing.
Regardless, the capacity of the stadium makes it looks less empty. The Braves are right in the middle of the pack for attendance.

Yeah...you only have like 2.7 million in metro St. Pete.

Atlanta has MARTA. This argument is silly. Quit making excuses for a franchise in a metro area of 5million+.

And close to where 3/4 of the population does not live in distance and time.
And the Braves attendance during a playoff run is nowhere as bad as what the Rays had last night.

As they should. The place was half empty yesterday.

Not as bad as the Marlins.
It's probably going to stay that way when their new stadium is built because that's how Miami fans are.

Whatever guys. Turner Field was rocking last night during the "Let's Go, Houston!" chant.
Also most people said "root root root for the Astros" during the 7th inning stretch.
