Yell Leaders do accomplish something. I'm not sure how other teams coordinate yells, outside of things like texas fight or war eagle. Go much longer than 2 words and you are leaving the realm of fans being able to coordinate themselves it seems.

They are males and they lead cheers, therefore they are male cheerleaders.

We have cheerleaders, a band, jumbo trons, and fans that know the words. It's not that difficult.
