They kept the Texans out of the End Zone enough to allow Drew Brees to win the game, and that's their mission.
They got routed and held in the endzone. Commendable, but our D needs to not look like swiss cheese for 90% of a drive. The offense won't always be able to score 30 points in one half to get the win (granted, it may have only been 23 points if Greer didn't intercept). The D isn't looking so hot. Schaub had all day in the pocket way too many times.
I'm not pulling a chicken little here, but I am concerned with the D. Sure, they looked fantastic against the Bears... but that's the worst O-line in the NFL right now.

I think that we have to realize this Truth:
The New Orleans Saints Defense is not designed to be a "Stone Cold Dead Stop Defense." There is not enough talent on the Saints D to accomplish that.
The Saints D has one mission: slow down the opponent just enough to allow Drew Brees to win the game. The talent is not there to expect anything more out of the Saints D.
If you say that the Saints need more talent on the D side of the ball, then, yes, I agree with you.
