Mathieu Question related to Rivals Rating

Hey I was curious to see what Mathieu's rating was since Ive heard people say two or three stars. I pulled up rivals.com and saw that he was a four star.
Here is the link. T Mathieu
I call bullshite on the 4 stars, just look at the other offers. Would it surprise you to see rivals or any recruiting site change ratings after a player develops into something special?

They don't update anything after signing day for the most part. This is retarded

If I recall, he was two stars before he committed to LSU...

No, he was a Rivals 4 star. They saw him at the Tenn camp, and said they would bump him, and they did.

Mathieu was 3 stars when he committed to LSU. Later, Rivals promoted him to 4 stars.

i remember hearing how well he did at one of the camps and that LSU coaches were raving about him. he did end up being a 4 start, but like you i believe he started out as a 2.

rivals didnt think he was physical enough to be rated higher

No. They do bump ratings basedon offer sheet and who a kid commits to. I think his case they may have actually bumped him to 4 star after they actually watched film and saw him in camps

the star thing is made up by some 50 year old dudes sitting behind a computer. mathieu is a fricking beast

Wrong dud. He tore it up at tennessee's camp, and then lsu's and got a bump. He was going get his 4th star after his perf at tennessee, lane and monte kiffin proclaimed him the best player there, and monte kiffin raved about mathieu after... Was on the 4star map b4 his lsu camp or commitment

This is correct.

He was a two star when LSU offered him. Offered at camp based on ability (only one at camp) to cover Jarvis Landry. Then he went on to blow up at Tenn camp. At that time Rivals said they would bump him up in star ratings.

3 star when he committed. Idiots questioning the coaching staff on him, along with guys like claiborne and williford.

3 star and not even in the La Top15 when he committed. And then I read about the UT boards and how they were raving about his camp performance. He got bumped to the top 10 in the state in the last update rivals does along with his 4th star.

Claiborne, on the other hand, never received any hype and didn't have much of an offer sheet. When he arrived, the WR's coach and Coop were fighting over whether he plays receiver or corner. He is comparable to Prince Amukamara but is also able to return kicks. Won't be surprised of Morris gets drafted around the same spot in the next draft.
