While driving up for the game I got to hear Timmy interview Les and it was one of the best interviews I've ever heard Les give. He spoke about how deep our defense is and how he's talking to some great recruits who will fit in well to the present team. I'm so excited about the roll Les, our coaches and players are on with this monster we are building.

Thanks NC_Tigah for adding the link in your post...here it is

I've always liked Tim Brando. He was probably the best play-by-play guy Jefferson Pilot ever had.

Dale Brown helped Brando's career. Brando used to go out of his way to be anti-LSU. My freshman year at the LSU-Arky bball game, Brando flicked off the student section and grabbed his crotch. He's a total douche.

I was thinking yesterday of the many schools who have had a winning football tradition and lost it. I know Les Will keep this one together how he does it will be very interesting to watch and be a part of.

He used to do TigerVision games in the 80s...I don't think he was ever anti-LSU.

Brando used to do the local TV sports here in Baton Rouge. I've always liked his personality. He went national many years ago but he is still one of the more entertaining and interesting sports analysts around. As for his character I would have to see that to believe what he did. If so here's to you Tim:

Brando just went out of his way in the 80's to show that he wasn't pro-LSU once he started broadcasting on a national stage or even regionally. But he went too far imho.

Very interesting and candid statements - When Brando mentioned the rabid fanbase at WVU and the environment being SEC like

Les - "We are not unaccustomed to playing in loud stadiums or in front of a national audience - IN FACT IT IS THE THIRD TIME THIS YEAR"

I'm sure he wasn't AntiLSU while doing TigerVison...But he was exremely AntiLSU on his local show during the 90's. Since he has gone more national he has toned it down a bit but it still comes out at times. I think he is trying his best not to come off as the Homer that he rips others for being. Don't understand his love for Paul Finebaum though if he's so AntiHomer...

Tim is OK - I knew him when he was still a pain in the neck little brother when I was dating his sister Gigi way back in high school in Shreveport.
