Because people would have given Cam much less credit for taking a team like Florida to a national championship. And then the comparisons to Tebow would have just grown even more. There would have so many more critics saying, "Oh look another high profile QB having success in Florida" First Tebow, now Cam...
He took a losing team without any where near the talent of UF to an undefeated season in his one and only year. He carried that team on his back.
