I wouldn't see any reason to turn WVU down at this point. It's not like it's West Minnesota State. If A&M doesn't happen for some reason, I say the SEC stays at 12. If we need a 14th, WVU is fine. They're not my first choice, but mainly because of geography.
I don't think we're going to end up with a geographically desirable team, so then schools like WVU and Mizzou seem just fine.

Agreed. The application is merely a formality . If it was submitted, as. I Suspect, it is a done deal. Looking forward to the mountaineers and aggies. Welcome

Those frickers in the higher ups of the SEC are waiting on Texas and Pac 12. Here's what I'm reading.
Texas maybe to Pac 12 if not then Missouri to Pac 12 along with OU, OSU, maybe TT. Pac 12 will eventually go to 16 teams, ACC is moving that way, which leaves the BIG and SEC next. Doubt if Missouri sits long. Now Kansas, K-State and Iowa State will have problems.
Texas goes to Pac 12 then Mizzou to SEC or BIG.

I see nothing wrong with adding #8 Texas A&M and #16 West Virginia to the SEC. It only make the SEC stronger unlike adding Pitt and Syracuse to the ACC.

instead of just letting WVU in under condition of aTm getting in, which is under condition of baylor dislodging the sand from its collective hatchet wound... you just tell wvu to sit back and chill.
wvu will not be let in unless aTm is however, this is for sure. there is no SEC expansion without aTm

i hope wvu makes it in. they have a pretty good football program and a great basketball program by SEC standards.
they also have a rabid fanbase that would fit in well with the SEC culture imo. their fanbase also travels which is something most of our conference does better than anyone else.
