Actually, they authorized their prez, but everything else you said was true.

This is following the exact same script as TAMU.
The letter to the Big XII informing that they are withdrawing is next, followed by the request to join the P12.

If OU and OSU are a package deal I guess we see their move next.

ESPN says Texas approved it as well

I ould say I would want them to come to the SEC, but in the end it hurts our conference especially the west teams.

This isn't completely true. Texas BOR gave the president the "authority" to stay in the big 12-2-1-2. Any other conference decision has to go through the BOR. Can't link on my phone

That ESPN report of Texas prez being given approval for realignment is wrong. The BOR authorized all actions to stay in the Big XII, but any realignment negotiated is subject to BOR approval. It was a vote of no confidence plain and simple.

I dont understand why the Big12 and UT dont compromise on the Longhorn network. BUT what they should do IF they were serious is to add 3 teams to make the Big12 a legitimate 12 team conference. BYU, Boise St, and TCU are sitting right near by. You put OU and UT in opposite divisions to balance the conference out and make them cross divison rivals. Something like below:
East West
OU UT
OSU TTU
Mizz TCU
KU Baylor
KSU BYU
ISU Boise St
East West
OU UT
OSU TTU
Mizz TCU
KU Baylor
KSU BYU
ISU Boise St

"I dont understand why the Big12 and UT dont compromise on the Longhorn network."
Answer:
"We're Texas"
That pretty much sums up the dismal state of the Bevo 12-2-1 and soon to be -2 more. It really is all about them.

Yea, if Texas was serious, they could keep the conference together. Anyway, I am happy Texas A&M is coming to the SEC. I went to LSU in the early 90s back when we played every year and that was a fun rivalry. Of course, we got our butts handed to us by A&M just about every year then.
