Yes, do. This thread was fine until you showed up.

I'm guessing you don't actually believe that.

Let's compare what Jefferson has done most recently not what he did farther back. Don't you want to use Lee's most recent games?

You're right. We've seen Lee play with another year of off season workouts and practices. We've seen him with a good QB coach and simplified offense. And our offense is still not as good to begin this season as it was to end last season.

That situation sort of reminds me of the Aaron Rodgers vs. Brett Favre saga that happened back in '08. Ted Thompson kinda ushered him out because he knew Aaron was ready to start what looks to be a hall of fame career and.....BOOM. SB champs. So while it would be nice to have experienced depth at that position, I think after this year it'd be time to permanently move on from JJ. On the other hand, it would light a fire under METT's arse to go out and compete every single week if JJ were still there.

You've tried numerous times and failed each time. The issue is LSU's total yardage. LSU gained far more yards in Jefferson's most recent three games than in Lee's most recent three games.

Even comparing to where Jefferson was at the beginning of last year, and not considering the improvement he made at the end of last year, or the improvement LSU has gained as the result of a new OC and QB coach, LSU gained more yards in Jefferson's first three games of last year compared to Lee's first three games of this year.

I have not stooped to namecalling.

I have tried to be civil.

The facts are the facts:

All debate aside, I want to add that I am very happy with Lee at QB right now.

But if JJ came back and beat Lee out. . .stands to reason that it only makes LSU a better team.

Good God.
Hard to reason with someone who looks at things this way.

I suppose the term imprvoe each week just doesnt register for you does it?
I am considering improvement. I am not asking for a comparison of Lee's games from before this year. He has improved. No question. Let's use Lee's most recent games.

By the same reasoning, let's use Jefferson's most recent games.

Les would loose the game with JJ even if Lee gave us the best chance to win. I don't care who the qb is as long as he can lead the team. I think we are miles further with this year OF than last year. JJ has not played a down!

I'm comparing the three most recent games for each. Jefferson had 3 BCS opponents. Lee did not. Maybe it's not fair to Jefferson.

I LOL at you calling Ole Miss a BCS opponent...like that means they are good....LMAO...they had the worst secondary in football last year. Arky game was not good....I don't know why you keep saying that...because arky had a bend don't break approach and he got a few yards....this is a stupid argument...lsu lost the damn game.....so you are worried about the player and not the team? wait, don't answer that...that is already obvious. AGAIN, Lee played half a game against NSU.....tell me JJ, I mean poster....how do you rate your/I mean jj's performance from week 2 - week 8? just curious..

At this point Lee may have beaten 3 ranked opponents already and Mett has shown he can play in trash time.

He may not get that whole transitive property thing. Logic doesn't apply to those who think that the coaches intentionally started the third best player on the roster.

But down to the heart of the matter. What you'll find is that I, and many others, find many of the posters on this site to be obnoxious, disingenuous, and hypocritical about the whole thing (not saying you're one, I haven't read many of your posts). So I can say that I do find many of the members of Lee's self-appointed PR firm distasteful. That's not against Lee. That's against them. And if it seems as though I spend a lot of time defending Jefferson, it's because there is ample opportunity to do so.

That line of reasoning still makes me chuckle.
