Don't you mean Lee's first three games? Lee has the same ability to improve as the year goes along. He showed great improvement last year when he was key in winning multiple SEC games. Are you one of those rantards that thinks only "their guy" can improve?
He also is including perhaps the worst secondary in college football history last year in ole miss.....and plus Lee played half a game against NSU.....as i remember correctly...the arkansas game was not good....jj had a few yards but our offense was inept. Ole Miss was a joke of a secondary....and Texas A&M a big 12.....
ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE thinking JJ was a better passer than JL last year...is just fooling him/herself. What would JJ's record have been last year without JL? Just curious. Also, with the Alabama game on the line, and lsu facing a 3rd and 13.....who did they go to......who did they have the most confidence in to complete the pass? Who came through?

In the interim, why dont you compare JJs 1st three games of 2010 to Lees 1st three games of this yr, and get back with us.
FWIW I did that yesterday.

Better yet, let's compare lee's first 3 games of 2011 to JJ's first 3 games of 2011.

Holy shite this is ridiculous
Then why don't you show the yardage and show everyone how ridiculous it is?
Please. I've giving you a golden invitation to should you how ridiculous it is.
Just post the yardage in Jefferson's last three games and Lee's last three games.

FYI....we have played a much higher level of competion to date....just FYI....competition does matter....why don't you check out the 3 and outs for the first three games compared to this year....and get back to me....it may be close...but again, last year to this year....Oregon much greater than UNC, Vandy MAYBE slightly better than NSU, and State this year much better than State last year....
1. Competition strength is up for debate ... Oregon and MSU may be "name" teams but it doesn't mean they have great defenses.
2. The standard for great defenses the last few years is Alabama and we ran for 200+ at a 5 ypc on them. The same Bama team that was #2 in the SEC and #10 in the NCAA in rush defense.
3. New OC with non-retarded play calls is the reason for reducing the 3 and outs.
In all honesty, I don't care who is QB as long as LSU wins. I don't think you can insert JJ seamlessly if and when he returns w/o disrupting the flow. However, it's evident to me that teams aren't really scared of Lee throwing the ball and are stacking the box to slow down our running game. We have not been efficient running the ball, at all. Even against NWSU. This worries me.

The offense simply moves better with Jefferson at QB.
What offensive ranking did LSU have again in 2010? LMAO. Who was in the top 10% in the nation in 3 and outs last year? LMAO...
On this, I will quit debating this idiot. You can say what you want about the future, and who COULD do better...because we can't know that....but to make this statement with perhaps the worst offense in major college football last year....is well.....laughable ...and this guy is not worth of a response anymore.

Basis for changing QB's...What makes sense?
What makes sense to me or you really isn't pertinent.

What about JJ's first three games of 2010?
Isn't that more fair?
I'd venture to say that lee would have better stats the last three games of the year than the first three.
Wouldn't you agree? Isn't that what happened to JJ?

Name them. From 2010.
Let's compare total yardage.
Jefferson's last three games exceed Lee's last three games.

Would these threads PLEASE STOP!! He has not practiced in about a month now. And he is not cleared to come back yet. If he gets cleared this week or next he will be coming back when the meat of the SEC schedule starts. The coaches will not mess up the chemistry that has been developed so far with this team. He will not start! And further more he will not play until he gets back up to speed with the offense and in game shape which who know how long will that take.

FWIW, my wife is an attorney, she read some of your posts and said you remind her of a 1L know it all that ends up finding a new career 2yrs into law school.

There is no controversy...period. JL is the starting qb and will be the starting qb. I'm really not taking shots at you...but why do you think LSU's defense is playing so well now? Sure they have studs all over the field...but they had them last year. LSU wore down last year because of the constant 3 and outs of JJ. I guess you forget the 8 game stretch last year where he threw for less that 100 yards, but more importantly, was just bad. You like to point out the good games against teams such as Ole Miss and A&M...both with terrible secondaries. You cannot ignore the fact where JJ had the team offensively last year and the year before. You cannot ignore the fact that almost every single game was a nail biter.....under JJ.....Why do you think our backs are enjoying more success this year? It is the ability of JL to pass the ball that defenses have to back off and respect. NOt ONE SINGLE team lsu has played in the last two years with JJ did that...every single team stacked the line and made JJ beat them......most times he was terrible. We have some great rb's right now, what lsu needs is a good passing threat...we don't need jj running the ball.....we need someone that offers the threat of a passing game...period.....as a neutral guy here, it is obvious to me that you are in the JJ corner simply because you don't like Lee supporters.....JL has played (and will continue to play) much stronger competition than JJ played last year...yet he is doing very well.....my advice (not that you asked it) would be to enjoy the ride...and don't worry about the posters on here...you are going to find yourself miserable over a LSU win because JL did well....as a neutral fan, there is no way in hell I think JJ gives this team the best chance to win.....and I'm not pro JL...I'm just seeing something special out there...
1. There is no controversy about who the starting QB is (obviously). There is a controversy about who the starting QB should be if the previous starting QB returns early enough in the season (increasingly unlikely).
2. JJ also did well against Bama's secondary, which wasn't lights out, but was certainly better than Oregon's or State's.
3. Our offense would have been dysfunctional with just about any average QB at the helm. The lines were not very good (especially in 09'), the running game sucked in 09'. JJ was one of the the only players on the offense who carried his weight. His QB rating was 37th by years end, and he led the nation in redzone efficiency. And Lee's a better pure passer. No one is disputing that. But MState and Oregon still stacked the line. 8 or 9 in at times. Our O line is just that much better this year.
4. I'm support JJ because he's still a player and I think he probably got a raw deal (though I doubt that his hands are completely clean).
5. I've never been miserable over an LSU win because Lee (or any player) was playing. That's ridiculous. Even if Lee was an a-hole, I'd still be happy that the team won. Turns out, he seems to be a great guy. So what kind of sense does that make?

You're trying to compare lee's first three games as a starter in 2011 to JJ's last three games of the season in 2010.
I see right through your argument.

Compare the three most recent games for each QB.

LOL...of course it is....has nothing to do with Lee completing 30 of his last 37 passes....and first game several drops against a very fast oregon secondary......LMAO.

LOL at this...we are on track to have 2 runners approach the 100 yard barrier....I have to LOL at saying teams are stacking the box because of Lee and are slowing down our running game.....LOLOLOL.....EVERY SINGLE game JJ ever had teams did this.....you do remember that LSU finished as one of the worst offensive teams in the nation last year right? I hope that teams aren't scared of Lee throwing the ball.....he will have many more games like Miss State if that is the case.......you are really blind, or you are related to JJ.....

He completed one pass that acounted for half his yardage total. But ok whatever you say.

I dont think anyone here doesnt support JJ.. most just dont want him as the qb anymore. Not really that hard to understand.

Yes, but that wouldn't help their argument now would it...haha.....they want to compare going against a terrible ole miss defense, and a big 12 defense......compared to lee playing against a top 5 team, and a good miss state team. fwiw...lee only played half a game against NSU....I think Lee is 3-0 against stronger competition......what was jefferson in that stretch????? 2-1, and had to sweat out a win over a horrible ole miss team........oh, and the inept offense of JJ kept lsu out of the sugar bowl.....when you look at those results....and these statements...you just LOL...and I'm not even a JL fan...just an LSU fan.
