0 TD's and 7 INT's if I remember correctly.
Yeah, I'd try to forget that too.

All you have to base that on is last season.
LSU's offense shows great improvement thanks to a change in the OC and getting a QB coach. LSU is making better play calls, and as Kragthorpe foretold, LSU is more aggressive with its downfield attacks.
The coaches have believed that Jefferson is better than Lee.
Jefferson's last 3 games blow away Lee's last three games. It's not even close.
If Jefferson comes back he should be allowed to compete for the starting role on an even basis. The offense simply moves better with Jefferson at QB. Lee can retain two minute drill duties.

Think about why that is
Because JJ sucked last year and this year JL is doing well?
Tell me what was it like to watch a QB throw for over 200 yards

ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE can see that this offense is more potent with LEE
Would you like to compare Jefferson's first three games last year? LSU's offense still had more yards than Lee's first three games this year.

You keep stating this, but you can't back it up.

I dont understand how you or anyone can say JJ gives us a better chcne to win.
If we win this weekend that will be a 4-0 start with 3 wins coming on the road vs top 25 teams.
That in itself is enough to keep JL the starter.
IMO Lee's confindence, leadership and play on the field has exceeded most fans expectations and well as Les's.
As of today there is absolutley no reason to make a change. NONE.
No one will fault LM if JL remains the starter and we lose a game, regardless if its Lee's fault or not... however make a change, let us lose a game... see how that works out for him.
You will see a divided furious fanbase.
I agree that Lee's done well. I'm happy with our performances this year. But there is a greater body of work to consider. I draw my conclusions based on everything I've seen. It is completely plausible that Lee has, in fact, developed into a better option than Jefferson. It's also possible that Jefferson is still a better option, and would likewise be doing well in this revamped system. The fact that the coaches chose to start him after a competitive spring would seem to indicate that, without empirical evidence (watching them both play in a game), I have more to go on.
To your second point. Les Miles is not a politician. It's not his job to pick and choose who plays based upon how pissy our ungrateful fanbase will become. They're always pissy about something. And they'll turn on Les for any number of reasons (most unfounded) over the next few years. I don't think he should spend too much time worrying about their histrionics. It's his job to win. It's his call on how to best go about that. I'll support the coach as long as we're doing well. It's not his job to do things as I would have him do them. I don't see some sinister or ulterior motive behind his actions when he doesn't play the players that I think he should or run the schemes that I like most.
Can you say the same?

Our TVs translate the digital signals they receive very differently.
You can have your own opinion, but you can't have your own facts.

The defense has given lee some short fields
He's been fairly accurate though. And he's had a few dropped passes as well.
He improves each game. And the offense runs much smoother with him rather than JJ

Well, the correct answer is that he's constantly taking abuse.
And I've seen Jefferson throw for more than 200 yards on a number of occassions. His stats actually still trump Lee's in almost every category.

LSU's ability to run has a tremendous amount to do with LSU's ABILITY to pass....just sayin. No one, and I mean NO ONE over the past two years has respected that ability to pass with JJ, and as a result, they stack the line to stop the run, and LSU ends up in a close ballgame practically every game....This has not been the case with JL...and if you can't see that, then I can't help you.
FYI we're rushing for less yards and less yard/carry than last year.

And I don't take shots at Lee. I've stated time and again that I think JJ would be the better option and supplied some facts to back it up. That's not taking shots. That's my position on a matter of controversy
There is no controversy...period. JL is the starting qb and will be the starting qb. I'm really not taking shots at you...but why do you think LSU's defense is playing so well now? Sure they have studs all over the field...but they had them last year. LSU wore down last year because of the constant 3 and outs of JJ. I guess you forget the 8 game stretch last year where he threw for less that 100 yards, but more importantly, was just bad. You like to point out the good games against teams such as Ole Miss and A&M...both with terrible secondaries. You cannot ignore the fact where JJ had the team offensively last year and the year before. You cannot ignore the fact that almost every single game was a nail biter.....under JJ.....Why do you think our backs are enjoying more success this year? It is the ability of JL to pass the ball that defenses have to back off and respect. NOt ONE SINGLE team lsu has played in the last two years with JJ did that...every single team stacked the line and made JJ beat them......most times he was terrible. We have some great rb's right now, what lsu needs is a good passing threat...we don't need jj running the ball.....we need someone that offers the threat of a passing game...period.....as a neutral guy here, it is obvious to me that you are in the JJ corner simply because you don't like Lee supporters.....JL has played (and will continue to play) much stronger competition than JJ played last year...yet he is doing very well.....my advice (not that you asked it) would be to enjoy the ride...and don't worry about the posters on here...you are going to find yourself miserable over a LSU win because JL did well....as a neutral fan, there is no way in hell I think JJ gives this team the best chance to win.....and I'm not pro JL...I'm just seeing something special out there...

Lee is doing well but it he is a statue in the pocket and I fear that will be a problem against fast and good rush defenses like Bama. I support Lee as our starter but when JJ comes back we will need have certain packages for him because of is mobility.

Compare LSU's last last three games with Jefferson to LSU's last three games with Lee. LSU gained over 100 more yards with Jefferson, and more yards per carry with Jefferson: 4.55 ypc with Jefferson. 3.80 ypc with Lee.

FYI....we have played a much higher level of competion to date....just FYI....competition does matter....why don't you check out the 3 and outs for the first three games compared to this year....and get back to me....it may be close...but again, last year to this year....Oregon much greater than UNC, Vandy MAYBE slightly better than NSU, and State this year much better than State last year....

Hey sport, it doesnt work like that. I will compare JJs last 3 games of the season to Lees last 3 games of the season, when that occurs.
In the interim, why dont you compare JJs 1st three games of 2010 to Lees 1st three games of this yr, and get back with us.
