You also forget that the head football coach (who is their future), spent a lot of time in and around the SEC.
The last time this came up, Bowden had A LOT of say in moving to the ACC.

But Bowden had been there quite a while and held a lot of power. Jimbo Fisher is still new and doesn't hold the clout Bowden had.
