So tomorrow is when the real fire works happen

Pitt and Syracuse took us all by surprise. But if tomorrow unfolds the way people think it will, I don't think there is enough popcorn in the world for what will happen next.

I think that we're in for more surprises. Is PSU to the ACC completely crazy given where their recruits come from?

I'm out of the loop. What's happening?

Cuse and Pitt are now in the ACC officially, ACC reportedly wanting to go to 16.
Texas, RU, and Uconn all being thrown about.
no mention of WVU = WVU to SEC for sure
TCU says its worried and is looking for a new conference before even joining the Big East

Pitt is moving. I'm asking whether or not it would be crazy for Penn State to leave the B1G for the ACC?

Oklahoma and Texas are both having specially called BOR meetings to discuss conference alignment. OU is meeting at 1:00, Texas meets two hours later.

I think it's crazy for teams to leave the B1G or the SEC, so no I don't think they'll join the ACC

i doubt anyone is leaving the BIG, SEC, PAC, or ACC.
bevo 9 and big east are in trouble at this point

Might as well take it another step... PSU and Navy to ACC, Notre Dame into big ten (or however many they have now) FSU bails to SEC and defies the new 20m$ rule which cannot stand up in court, WVu , Mizzou, aTm to SEC. Then when that's all done all the conferences will scrap themselves, and there will be 16 bcs conferences set by geography, a playoff system will ensue, and Rant boards will be a thing of the past like daily newspapers.

FSU big wigs are meeting this week to discuss options as well....

With OU, OSU, and TT or just OU?

So if we go to four 16 team conferences, where does that leave teams that may be left out like Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State. Can the Big East add some of these holdovers and remain a BCS conference? Don't see why not. Say they can hold on to WV, they add TCU this year which brings them to 7 after losing Pitt and Syracuse. If they add Kansas and Kansas State, that's 9. With their basketball strength, I just don't see them going away as a conference.
On FSU, I just don't see any reason why they would leave the ACC now that they're getting good again. Far, far easier road to the BCS through the ACC than the SEC. Same for A&M but then they don't use logic, they're aggies!

probably gonna see a mash up of what's left of the big east and big 12. it would be an island of misfit toys to say the least.
i doubt fsu is going anywhere, though i could see the additions of pitt and syracuse angering to some fsu people who wanted the league to go in a more football oriented direction. i'm sure they are all in swofford's ear right now trying to get him to not take uconn next.

I don't doubt that it is, but it is also a conference that has seen their football reputation decline significantly over the last decade and given their flat population growth I don't see their fortunes improving. Also PSU has lost it's identity in the Big 10. They were always an East Coast team. Their recruiting base has always been Pennsylvania, Maryland, and NJ and they are in danger of losing two of those three because of the ACC expansion.
