13 team SEC...

9 conf games, no divisions, top two play in Atlanta. Is this dooable?

Doable? Yes, but I don't like it. There is too much opportunity to miss good teams, so luck of the schedule plays a bigger role in who the top two teams are. With div one side will play everyone in their div and the other div will play most of the teams and then you still have to play the best team from the opposite div. I think this is the best way to have a meritorious champion.

slive has said they are working on aTm being in the WEST and having a 13, for the time being.

Why the frick would they do this? So some teams in the East won't play their entire div too?

12 teams playing 8 games each is 48 games: 12*8/2 = 48
13 teams playing 9 games each is 58.5 games: 13*9/2 = 58.5
13 teams could play 8 games each: 13*2/2 = 52
12 teams playing 8 games each is 48 games: 12*8/2 = 48

Just play 12 conference games.
