what are people hearing on where he is going?
He said that at one point if LSU offered he would probably commit, and we offered and nothing happened. I am pretty sure also that he is from Louisiana

I can't comment on kids with names that reek of such awesomeness.

I hear grades are an issue and that he is looking to stay in FL if possible.Been a while since those things came about but with the way he has completely fallen off the recruiting radar I would assume the grade thing has some merit.Kid's with his talent don't just disappear from recruiting boards for no reason

he has been talking to Arkansas about visiting. Their fans didn't seem to have knowledge of grade issues.
Here is an article about his interest in the Hogs: The Recruiting Guy (Arkansas Democrat-Gazette) 6/30/11
I didn't start a thread about this but I did post the article in an existing WR thread the day it came out in the Arkansas paper.
I think this kid and his coach that is helping him with recruiting are kind of flaky but if there are no grade issues, I would hate to see him on another SEC team not named Florida.

As reported in Tuesday’s Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, highly recruited receiver D’Vario Montgomery is planning to make an official visit to Arkansas.
Montgomery, 6-3, 205, 4.6 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Winter Park, Florida estimates having about 50 scholarship offers, including Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia , Florida State, Miami and West Virginia. He recorded 45 receptions for 1,100 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior.
Montgomery said Alabama and West Virginia will also get official visits while Georgia is another possibility. Like many other prospects, Montgomery is attracted to the SEC.
“The SEC is one of the biggest leagues in football,” Montgomery said. “That would give me a better shot to show what I have versus all of the cornerbacks that’s in the SEC because they’re a lot times the same size of the receivers.”

Here is another link that says Bama, LSU and Florida lead: Brighthouse Sports Network
There is a video here that looks like it was added in August of 2011 (Last Updated: Friday, August 19, 2011 ). It also says LSU Bama & Florida lead.
In a 7/11/11 interview with Scout he was very vague but said he was still interested in Florida & LSU when asked directly about them by Mike Bakas. Subscription link

A freak athlete that can play 4 positions, D’Vario Montgomery holds the distinction of being the top player in Central Florida. The Winter Park Wildcat has made his name on the defensive side of the ball, but is being recruited a 4-star wide receiver. The 6-3, 210 pounder, can run a 4-5, 40 and has over nearly 20 offers in hand, but Alabama, LSU, and Florida are the leading contenders for his services.

he visited Tennessee recently: Orlando Sentinel August 4, 2011
He was talking up Bama and USF on 8/14/11: Orlando Sentinel

The bar has been set for the Winter Park trio of senior receiver Dvario Montgomery, junior quarterback Asiantii Woulard and junior safety Blake McClain. All three visited the University of Tennessee last week and simply put, they were blown away.
quote:
Montgomery shared a similar enthusiasm, citing a strong tradition and facilities being his favorite parts of the trip. “[It’s] the top facility wise,” said Montgomery, who was reached via Facebook because he’s having phone problems. “It was great.”

Montgomery, who already has been offered by Tennessee, will analyze Tennessee’s depth chart and offensive scheme at a later time. All three players are expected to visit Alabama in the near future.

Montgomery, who has more than 30 scholarship offers, will have rediscovered his focus this season but he’ll also be concentrating on finishing up his recruitment too. He intends on taking his five official visits fairly early.
“USF, Alabama, though I probably won’t take an official to USF,” Montgomery said of schools that he’d like to see more of before committing. “I just want to go out of town (for a visit), like ... California or something like that.”
He added: “I don’t know where I want to go but I kind of have a feeling about a school, like I kind of have a school in mind, but I don’t want it out yet.”
Montgomery will remain tight-lipped about what school has his attention because he wants to be patient and weigh all his options before making a choice.
But it is worth noting that he mentioned USF and Alabama as two of his favorite teams. Those are also the teams he favors using in the new NCAA 2012 video game series. Read into that as much as you want, but those programs seem to be on the tip of his tongue.
