Incredible Defense

This unit lead by Coach Chavis is unreal. Amazing that there were so many Chavis haters on this website. They sure have shut up.
The rush defense is incredible. Scoring defense is top ten. Secondary is the best in the country. Speed all over the field.
The best defense overall in the country. No doubt in my mind.

Through 3 games this is the best Defense I have ever seen LSU play. There is a long way to go and we could wear down and have injuries, but right this second this is the best defense we have ever played IMO. Hopefully we can sustain it.

And so many fresh/soph with huge upsides. Brockers is only a soph, I believe...Mingo with the speed rush, Freak blowing the middle up...the list is chock-a-block with nasty arse linemen, one after the other.

yeah, these guys can make a play or two. I believe we have room for a little optimism if it's true that "good defenses win championships" Yes, the toughest part of our schedule lies ahead. We have to face some really good competition but they have to face LSU too.
Of course, we must take it one game at a time but right now this team is not playing for an Independence Bowl. We are climbing a higher mountaion and the path is well known. These are the good ole days - let's enjoy each of them.

Montgomery was apologetic about the first half on the post game show - if this team stays healthy, they have a great shot to win every game.
