Can an A&M fan enlighten me about the Baylor tarp

I keep reading this and was just curious about it, do they cover seats because they can't sell them? Pictures would be good also if you have them.

They cover around 5000 seats that they are unable to sell.
Capacity w/o tarp is 50,000
Capacity w/tarp is 45,000
They remove it sometimes when A&M or UT pay at Baylor.

The tarp is Baylor's biggest fan.
They really can't sell out the stadium they have, they don't even come close. Their attendance has actually dropped while in the Big XII. Someone said, probably on texags, that the 'seats' under the tarp aren't really seats but cement steps and you used to be able to bring in a lawn chair to sit on the top row.

If notice in the first picture, there is probably actually more or equal A&M fans there than Baylor fans.
They have had the worst attendance in the big12 since it began.

Baylor covers the seats that they can't sell. The only time they pull it off is when a Nebraska, UT, or A&M comes to town.

I always have trouble believing the numbers the Horns give out for their attendance.
They almost always claim to be at or very near a sell out when you can plainly see thousands upon thousands of empty seats for games against cupcakes.
also, here is a new one from cuppycup

Paid attendance vs actual attendance. Must be counting the full capacity in suites. Since suites are paid on an annual basis rather than per game, the actual per game attendance can differ wildly without affecting paid attendance.

So the seats covered by the tarp don't count against attendance?

Oh I get that they are probably counting all tickets bought.
However, I still have a hard time believing that many people are buying tickets that go unused.
