LSU starting LBs 2012

Who do you think they'll be???
It sounds like Minter has locked up the Mike but with Baker, Francois, and Hatcher graduating who will be the other two spots.
I know we've recruited pretty decently at LB and obviously this year we've recruited at the LB extremely well so my question is, who do you think has the inside track in 2012? Has anyone done really well in practice?
Are we going to have a true frosh running around out there? Is Trevon practicing as big as he's advertised? Are Barrow or Muncie or Welter or Johns (if he ever comes back) ready to make the jump from just special teams/depth to starters?
If you look at our projected depth chart for 2012 it looks like the only even potentially weak area on D.
What say you Rantoholics????

Dude I'm with you. It's Tuesday and I have nothing to do at the office right now, just craving some football chat is all.

So you saying he would play LB and not Safety?

I was thinking Reid or Collins at Sam, but maybe Loston would fit there. He just seems a little slender to be a LB, even more-so than Hatcher.

Barrow is more than ready. Barrow and Minter will have spots imo. The other spot is up for grabs

Reid is the best safety we've had in a while IMO, he goes nowhere
Loston's bigger than Tahj. shite, everybody's bigger than Tahj.

Minter
Tahj
Barrow

Who would you want at safety if either reid or loston moved up?
It could open up some room for Vinson

WLB - JR. Tahj Jones vs. rFR. Trevon Randle
MLB - JR. Kevin Minter
SLB - JR. Lamin Barrow vs. JR. Luke Muncie
Really don't know who will win what between Jones, Randle, Barrow and Muncie.

ok sure i understand the question. who cares who will be starting LB'S for next year. dont you think it would be a great idea we get thru this year. we have only played 2 games so far, and from what i have seen is we have some fast great line backers top to bottom. can you please save this question for feb 2012

Yeah, Reid and Loston stay at safety IMO.
LBs for 2012
Minter starts at MLB backed up by DJ Welter and Trey Granier.
Barrow starts at OLB.
After that, it's a competition between Trevon Randle (RS Fr), Tahj Jones (Jr), Luke Muncie (Jr) and true freshman Ronnie Feist, Lamar Louis and Torshiro Davis for the other OLB position. The only DB's I see as big enough to maybe make the switch to OLB are Ronald Martin or Rockey Duplessis.
IMO & IMHO, I like Randle to win the spot, but I could also see Jones and Feist getting serious playing time.

what about the kid from Bama that we shirted last yr? name escapes me but he was like 6'1", 205ish?
but like I said earlier, I'm not that hung up on size for the OLB spots. I'm not sure Tahj is legitimately 200 lbs, and they like him just fine there. just saying.
and is Trevon working at an outside spot or MLB? I got into with some guy claiming he was the future at Mike and only Mike when I thought he was gonna be on the outside.

Randle is by no means even close to being a MLB. The kid is 6'1, 210.

Sam Gibson. He just never seemed that big to me. Always seemed like a safety to me.

Outside. IMO I think he is the OLB Chavis has been waiting for. Think Harry Coleman out of high school instead of a saftey being moved to OLB like Coleman and Francois have been.

I think we have a rarity and see a true freshman come in and start, and thats not a bad thing, I just think one guy in particular is that good. Lamar Louis
