I believe they were instructed to fly higher because last year it was really loud and they were a lot closer. For safety reasons I think it was made clear to not fly that low again.

That's really a shame. I mean, I understand the safety factor, but when they flew by and it felt like those jets were shaking TS, it always sent chills down my spine.

They are not allowed to fly below 1000 feet for safety reasons according to the Daily Reveille.
