I am surprised no one has thought about this...

So let's all agree that the Big 12 is soon to be history. We know that A & M is gone and there is a very strong probability that Oklahoma and OSU will announce they are leaving to join the PAC ?. There is also a good probability the UT and Tuberville's TTU will join Oklahoma and OSU. There is no way that the remaining five teams could salvage the conference and even if they added UTEP, UH, Texas State, Rice and SMU, the conference would no longer be able to keep the BCS Automatic Qualifier Status. Are we so naive to believe that the BCS AQ currently held by the Big 12 would not go out West to Larry Scott's new Pacific West Conference? The new 16 member conference would have not one, but two BCS AQs and would be able to send as many as four teams to BCS bowls each year. This would be a huge advantage to that conference. An advantage that would be damaging to the dominance of the SEC.

Baylor should "stand down" in it's efforts to preserve a doomed conference and "Rise Up" and look to persuade Kansas and Kansas State to join with them into the Mountain West Conference and take the BCS AQ with them before Deloss Dodd & his minions steals it away.
