This has been in works for about 5 yrs or so, SEC PAC16 BIG whatever and ACC have been meandering thru this process to get where they are today.
Get on board cause the train is departing. The explanation is obvious but I'll go ahead and print it.....$$$$ and the nazis at NCAA

I wish there would be some sort of break away from the NCAA too. Instead of 4 super conferences, go back to 10 team conferences. 80 schools, 8 conferences, Top 2 schools from each conference would make the 16 game playoff.

There is absolutely no sense in having "BCS" teams and conferences within the FBS. Doesn't make any sense. Something has got to change.

Com on - the Nazi here is not the NCAA, it's ESPN. Their agenda is obvious. It started with the LHN. They are the one orchestrating the super conference scenario. 64 break from NCAA with TV contact/$ from guess who?
Baylor & their band of brothers fell into the ESPN trap. What a shame, cause they are not in the 64. This is like watching a puppet show with you know who pulling the strings.

You mean something like this?

Yeah, I'm sure the PAC would be ecstatic to have Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas Tech.

RockChalkTiger nice diagram! My eye site isnt to great and I may have missed them. How does texas and ND fit in? If it were up to me I would leave their sorry asses out.

If the SEC takes OU and UT doesn't let go of their network, that's about the only options they'll have.
Don't be too butthurt about the Horny Frogs being left out. They never belonged in an autobid conference anyway.

I did. I think they're too hard-headed to join a conference, so they can play each other in the Cotton Bowl every year.

RockChalkTiger let me be the first to vote you for you as the the College football super conference chairman. I like the way you think!

lol if anyone thinks the pac whatever is going to take hawaii, texas tech, and new mexico they are crazy.
the only one of these that have a shot is TT. and then only as a package deal with UT

If UT and ND dont want to play super conference then the Pac may not have any other choices. That is if the PAC wants to play super conference as well.

While I agree with you on the snob part if the Pac wants to play super conference with the other three supers then they have to let someone in. I think they like money more than academics!

im not sure.
if under your scenario, where UT wants to stay independent, the PAC could still take OU OSU TT and KU to get to 16.

Not if the SEC takes OU first. They have been more receptive to expansion/superconferences than the Pac-12

Actually, as you may have noticed, I didn't even bring it up.
Edit: I just noticed you're a kansas fan. And i guess that you think Kansas football deserves to be in a BCS conference!?!?
At least TCU has historic success and current success. What has Kansas done on the gridiron, ever? Oh yeah, in one of the worst travesties in bowl selection history, they snuck into the orange bowl over a team that beat them, then they fired the only coach/walrus that ever accomplished anything there. You should keep the football smack talk to yourself, Jayhawk.
