While I think he IS that big of an idiot, word is that the schools voted in favor of this statement and then got cold feet after he sent it.

If so, I'd say it means the SEC can sue the asses off of the Big 12 and any institution suing them or saying that they did not waive their right to sue.

what changed is that when everyone agreed to let A&M go off into the sunset, they believed the BigXII was looking for a replacement to stay in tact and continue to be an AQ conference and keep their big new deal with Fox.... shortly after the letter was agreed to and sent to Slive, 0U's president made a comment that they were exploring options. To Baylor, this means the letter is null and void. They see their membership in an AQ conference gone, the deal with Fox gone, etc. They will now fight like hell to get as much money as they can via litigation, likley because their AD is broke and they were depending on the revenue from media partners, especially Fox that won't come their way when they're in Conf USA next year.

What i don't understand is why they are targeting SEC / A&M, after already admitting that they'd be fine without A&M and letting A&M move on with that letter, and not directing anything at 0U or anyone else.

Yeah but they are the ones that are ba ktracking. Why does that affect the sec?
