Can the Big 12 be saved?

If so, how?

Potential new members to the Big 12?

I say BYU, Southern Miss and South Florida?

That seems like it would be a logistical nightmare

It is an absolute mess now. The people who say Texas would love to keep the Big 12 going so that it can do what it wants with LHN while having a fairly easy BCS spot and a home for its non-football sports may be right.

A&M, OSU and OU are gone.

Could add Houston, SMU, New Mexico and all kinds of other schools. Texas would be more of an over-lord, these new teams would all be fine with games on the LHN and Texas would have a cakewalk to a BCS game every year.

We would have our own network and our own conference. Not too shabby.

you assume the Big 12 would still be an AQ conference with all of those scrubs and just you.

TCU just joined the Big East, Houston and SMU are good choices, but BYU and USM may offer more.

Not for long. People know that Texas historically lays down for good competition and wouldn't want that on a regular basis in the BCS bowls. So the Big 12 would soon lose their automatic bid.

Ask Boise about all their easy walks into the NC game because of their easy schedule.... Oh wait.

Boise St would be a great choice. TCU just joined the Big East. Why didn't the Big 12 go after them last year?

You do realize no conference has a guaranteed BCS spot right? It's given out based on your conference BCS poll ranking.

They bring more to the table than Ole Miss does to the SEC.

Solid football and baseball programs.

You might want to brush up on the BCS process a bit.

they win 6-7 games a year in C-USA and lucked up and got to Omaha one year. Go look at the SEC records for baseball the last decade. Our only flaw is being choke artists in the Super Regionals.

They make it to a bowl game every year, play good football and have a decent stadium. They compete and win 7-9 games a year. That is solid. Not great, but mid level.
