PAC 16 eliminates at least 1 automatic bid to the BCS. So now what?

The Big 12 usually fields 2 BCS teams. With 1 conference down, does the BCS grant more than 2 bids to each conference or what?

The conspiracy is that 4 superleagues will form. They will do away with NCAA and and BCS, and finally have a 8 team playoff.

But yeah they should get an extra bid, otherwise why would you want to join a bigass league.

nah. bowls make too much money.

but with 4 or 5 super conferences we will definitely see at least a 3 team max for bcs games.

i think a +1 playoff format is on the table, but not a true 8 team.

Playoffs please. I don't care how it happens, but gimme playoffs. And I'm not talking about "plus one" or an eight team playoff.

I want full on FCS-style playoffs, where the lower-seeded team travels to the higher-seeded team's stadium.

In your life time, you would be able to witness matchups you might otherwise only dream of.

Nebraska at Tiger Stadium for a winner-or-go-home playoff. LSU travelling to Gaylord Family Memorial Stadium and making Big Game Bob choke once again. Boise State in Baton Rouge.

Yes please.

4 conferences of 16 leads to a 4 team playoff of conf champs. Games at BCS sites. Bowls take leftovers.

Be careful what you ask for, there are plenty of unintended consequences to go around. And that's a law.

Well, it's effectively an 8 team playoff because the 4 conference champs played CCGs to get in there.

Well the idea of having 2 teams from each conference works out well. Bowl games could still be incorporated in. For instance the 5 bcs games could be the quarter-finals, semi-finals and championship game...
For instance:
Rose Bowl-Pac16 #1 vs. Big10 #2
Fiesta bowl- Big10 #1 vs. ACC #2
Sugar bowl- SEC #1 vs Pac16 #2
Orange bowl- ACC #1 vs. SEC #2

Add in the cotton bowl and maybe a northern bowl, and mix match those around...they could alternate every year. Just an example but something along those lines. I've never understood why you couldn't just use the bowl games as part of the process.

Bah. LSU is a big boy. I believe in my team, and I fully expect LSU to be able to travel to any school in the country and kick arse at their place.

Ohio Stadium, Camp Randall, Gaylord Family...wherever. And our fans would not only travel, they'd take over. I think both of those are givens.

And I've got a want to introduce Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Boise State and their fans to a Saturday night game at Tiger Stadium. And see them leave humbled.

Pac-16 should have two BCS bowl game tie ins, along with the SEC. Basically a BCS bowl (probably Fiesta) should become a Pac-16 SEC bowl game.
