My friends and I have created a meme out of Snake repeating names and plot devices back to Otacon/ Major Tom for no apparent reason.
"Metal Gear?!"
"Shagohod?!"
"Sons of the Patriots?!"
"Liquid?!"
"Solidus?!"
"Big Boss?!"
Kind of hard to explain without real life context, but it's just like an incredulous response when someone says something dramatic.
