It's really clear why the offense has struggled the last couple years...

There was a clear cut identity problem. After watching us get in the I 90% of the time last night, it's pretty clear that Crowton and Miles had philosophical differences.

I am sure there will be some echoing of Germans, but it really was all speculation until last night. This is clearly the offense Les wants to run and he's going to run it now. What I do like about the offense is that we have an athletic, pass catching tight end, two outstanding interchangeable tailbacks, big O-Line and a bruising FB--all musts in a Pro I.

It reminds me of when we watch film on Saturdays of opponents and see 40 different formations and personnel packages. Generally, that team has trouble moving the football and is trying to gimmick or out formation the defense. That was us the past couple of years. The teams that line up and run what they run are usually the best teams. They say here it is...this is who we are...now try and stop it. That is going to be us this year

Given our WRs inability to get any separation or catch balls, I think we should run a whole bunch of two and three tight end sets.

I really think that the offense had no "personality" the last 2 years, at least last night there was a purpose, albeit a bit boring, but we stuck with a philosophy that appeared to work last night!

It still drives me crazy that we haven't had a QB for 4 years, not since Matt Flynn. Our D + special teams at least the last 2 years has been good enough to win it all save for our offense, which is mainly a QB issue.

I think Lee did fine last night and will do fine. But games will be closer than they should be and we may drop 1 or 2 solely because of our lack of a true SEC caliber QB, no offense towards Lee or Jefferson.
