Actually, with their all time win record, they'd be 6th in the SEC. Also, FWIW Vandy is 11th and Mississippi State is 12th.

That is wrong, because Ws in the Little 10/ 12 does not equal Ws in the SEC. Just ask us.

I think we overestimate how good we are sometimes. I mean I do think the SEC is the top conference, but it's not like the other conferences are the minor leagues. I think A&M is as good any other team in the SEC with the exception of maybe LSU and Bama this year. Carolina, Florida, Arkansas, and Miss. State would be a good game. I'd favor them against everyone else.

First game of the season. Auburn looked slow against USU, and South Carolina didn't look good early against ECU. Offense looks strong with our two future stud NFL backs. Very pro style offense that can spread it around to many weapons.

Of course they're not going to just waltz up in here and own the place. It's going to take time for them to develop into an SEC caliber team. But they do have a lot going for them. Being the only SEC team in Texas is pretty huge.

I guess that depends on who you ask.

Well, that doesn't change the fact that Vandy is 11th and MSU is 12th.

The thing that concerns me the most is that we lose two starting DL in our 3-4 defense. We also lose two starting CBs, 1 FS, and an ILB. Need to recruit big boy jucos for the DL.

BTW, Davante Bourque is at the game.

Don't get me wrong my wife is an aggie and we have been to several games and they have a great atmosphere and will be good for the conference I'm just concerned about their ability to recruit I don't think being in the sec will help them that much with Texas recruits seems to me Texas and Oklahoma wrap those guys up pretty easily it will make Houston area an interesting recruiting area though

Dude, all time win record is not just "now history". It actually includes EVERY football game ever played.

Defense is going to have to get better, but honestly I dont think we are that far away. We have plenty of athletes and even better ones coming in the future.

They'd probably finish 4th in the SEC West this season in football, but probably win basketball

TAMU had some bad seasons but they're a good program. They're obviously nowhere near Vandy.
