seems like a good summary on everything we already know... other than the previous speculation (and possibly still speculation) that Texas is already talking to PAC

Rutgers in the Big 12? Might as well add Hawaii. This conference wants to be all over the place/are desperate.

Pitt is about 650 miles from Columbia and 718 miles from Ames. And those are the two closest members.

The Dwindling XII would be better off staying west of the Mississippi, or right on it (Memphis).

big 12 is toast unless BYU comes. they are the only realistic candidate imo.

Theoretically they could also get Air Force. Not a powerhouse but a decent program and a service academy.

AF has appeal, all right, as that would put them back in the Denver market, which they lost when Colorado jumped to the Pac 12.
