Oregon is more explosive on offense but is in a major rebuilding mode defensively, and the absence of Harris on both defense and special teams will hurt this team more than the absences of Jefferson and Shepard for the Tigers. Look for Lee to play within himself and throw the ball efficiently against an inexperienced Ducks defense. We also think LSU's run game will prove to be overwhelming for the Ducks in the second half. Several big plays on offense for Oregon will keep this game tight for four quarters, but LSU's physical style will prevail.

Prediction: Tigers 29, Ducks 27

I agree with this analysis although I hope our D doesn't give up the mentioned big plays. I do, however, strongly agree that LSU's physical play will wear Oregon down by the 4th quarter. LSU should dominate the battle in the trenches...

I will give my reason why LSU will win and it isn't even close.

There is this Prayer from an article this morning where it says; "Lord, thank you for Les Miles. Truly, we can never thank you enough for Les Miles."
The college Football Fan's Prayer

Kelly is 1-3 when facing a top 25 team that has had more than one week to prepare for the Ducks. The one win was against Stanford a conference foe. The other three Losses to Boise St., Ohio State, and Auburn. All three limited the ducks to 14.6 PPG. Kelly is also 1-1 in openers and 0-2 in bowl games while at Oregon.

What does this have to do with LSU vs Oregon Sept. 3rd, 2011? It has everything and this is why;
While at LSU, Les Miles is:
6-0 in season openers
5-1 after a bye week
5-1 in bowl games
28-1 in non-conference games
25-0 in non-conference regular season games

If you have been keeping score at home Miles is 16-2 when he has more than a week to prepare for an opponent. Miles eats grass, he goes for it on 4th down more than the norm, has more clock issues than we Fans care to think, drives oppossing Coaches crazy with his trick plays, but Miles is unbeatable, well almost, when given more than one week to prepare for an opponent and when he is facing an out of conference foe. To put an exclamation point to it LSU has won 33 straight non-conference regular season games going back to the UAB game in 2002, the longest such streak in the Nation. Well! You can say what you want about how crazy, how quirky or whatever, he is the Head Coach of The LSU Tigers, go ahead Les eat your grass, because I give the ole grass taster the advantage in this one.

I SAY! LSU 31 - Oregon 17
