Tonight:
CC Sabathia (17-7, 2.99 ERA)
vs
John Lackey (12-9, 5.98 ERA)
Wednesday:
Phil Hughes (4-4, 6.46 ERA)
vs
Josh Beckett (11-5, 2.43 ERA)
Thursday:
AJ Burnett (Fails at life)
vs
Jon Lester (14-6, 3.09 ERA)
Hopefully CC can actually beat the Red Sox for once this season.

Screw it, throw AJ tonight. That'd be so awesome.
Lackey vs. Beckett
Mr. Ed vs. Nipple Ringed trailer trash
O/U 5 innings combined?
O/U 6 runs per inning combined?
O/U number of bullpen guys going on strike and demanding a raise?
I hate them both.
This isn't a really good series for us at all though.
1) CC in Fenway vs. Lackey (he's not TOTAL shite vs. NY)
2) Hughes vs Beckett (although Phil is a considerable amount better on the road)
3) Burnett vs. Lester (chalk it up now
)
Hopefully the bats stay hot and our bullpen can keep us in it.

No it's not. Especially with it looking like Jeter and A-Rod (Color me fricking suprised) might miss the entire series.

Only way we have a chance.

He's never pitched well in Fenway so don't hold your breath.

I'm taking the yanks in this one..I really like CC and think he can pull it off tonight. I have know idea about the next two games though

He wouldn't pitch well against Boston in YS either.
I honestly think we might get swept in this one.

Don't say that man..Yanks will at least take one out of the three

He's at least manageable in YS. He has a ~4.5 career ERA in Fenway.

Cashman probably still believes AJ is a legit #2 starter. He'll never give up on him.

I could deal with first half AJ. 4.15 ERA is doable somewhat.
8.65 since. wow.

And it's not like him being so bad this year is suprising.
He was terrible last year too.

Yeah. Last year wasn't as noticeable I guess because he consistently was below average.
this year he looked good, then decent, then he just took a swandive.

Win tonight, we can lose the next two games and be okay.
Have to take 1 of 3 at worst, and Game 1 is obviously the easiest one to take based off of pitching match-ups.

Gotta take 2/3 at least if we want a chance at the East. We lose 2/3 and we're 3.5 games back... we aren't catching Boston in a month being that far behind.
We'll win the WC at least. Maybe that would be better. I'd rather play the Rangers in the ALDS than the Tigers.

Nah. If Boston takes 2 of 3, they're still only 2.5 games up (2 in the loss column).
Just need to win tonight and get off to a good start.
