A priest was driving over a bridge when he saw two locals slowly pulling another man ashore on the end of a rope. The preacher was so overcome with emotion; he pulled over and got out of his car.
"That's what I like to see," yelled the priest, "Men helping their fellow man."
As the priest got back in his car smiling & drove away, one local said to the other: "Well, I reckon he don't know the first thing 'bout shark fishin'."

Not jokes, but the collections of short stories by Patrick McManus are some of my favorites. He use to write the end coloumn in Outdoor Life for many years.

Same. I recently resubscribed and was disapointed that he doesnt have a coloumn any more.
I have 5 or 6 of his books though.
