wish I could help...
I am doing an event in the Cowboys Stadium on Sept 18th and it is up to us.

My guess is that it has to do with NCAA rules and NFL rules...there were a lot of pic on facebook for the CB last year.

for the NFL.....
quote:

The Cowboys have announced that professional cameras will be prohibited in the stadium. This is a rule that is common with professional team sporting events. However, it seems it is always up to the gate screener as to what constitutes a "professional camera". I have been denied entrance to such events with a Canon Mark IIN as well as a 30D that were in a case with a few extra lenses, just to return with the same cameras with a wider lens attached and just hanging from a neck shoulder strap, no case, and allowed to enter. I am thinking that it's more about the lens than the camera. The problem is that anything less than 200mm is only going to get you some candid fan shots. Has anyone experienced this situation?

I think that the average door screener doesn't know what a professional or DSLR camera is. I could probably get one in.
But I am just not sure if I want to take the chance. We are taking a shuttle to the game, there is no place I can leave it if I don't get it in.
