Whats going on with Special teams?I

I know everyone is caught up with the current incident but.....
How is the Special Teams doing? Hows the kicking game look now that we don't have Jasper?

Good question. I hear Wing is a solid punter, but how is our field goal kicker?

Hear all good things. Confident,accurate, etc.
However, it has NOT happened in a game situation.
ETA: Return teams (KO and punt) should be excellent

Do you know who the primary place kicker is? Alleman or Hairston?

Derek Helton was pretty awful in his first year and was money in his second year. That's why Miles turned to Jasper for short field punts and he kept that job because he was so good at it. I'm hoping this will not be the case for Wing.

I know everyone goes off of how the D or O is going to do but Special Teams can make or break a game just as fast. I am just very curious where we stand with it.

I've heard mixed reports. Honestly, I'm a bit worried. Alleman's first 47 yard FG attempt in cowboys stadium will be twice as nerve racking as his game winning state championship FG.

I'm usually not too worried about our special teams because Les puts a lot of resources into that aspect of the game. He isn't afraid to hand out schollies to kickers/punters and snappers. A few of the veteran players were raving that McGaughey was giving them pro style coaching that they have never seen before.

What about that Seth Mannon kid? I'd love to see him get some playing time. That would make a feel-good story that the media could really run with.

That is correct. I believe he is a sophomore this year. You don't hear about him much though.
