an Olympic games or World Cup? Would they sell tickets? Could the infrastructure even be put into place to do it?

Maybe Hammond, it has a great downtown

Yeah, Lake Charles is looking into it pretty hard.

If they moved up the olympics to april, then sure. Not in June or July. You could do it in Houston, combo of mobile/mississippi coast/new orleans, or maybe south florida.

Dallas could. Dallas needs the Olympics.
The state of Texas should get a World Cup.

I lol'ed.
No chance of the world cup EVER coming to the South. Too damn hot and no MLS support. If it were to ever happen in America again, count on it being on the west coast.

Nope.

The entire country Hosts a World Cup, not just a region.
And if we did get it they would play games in Reliant Stadium as well as Raymond James Stadium.
Then again probably play one in Dallas because it's a bigger Venue.

Qatar has more money at its disposal than every state in the South has. And it aint even close.
And if the U.S. hosts the World Cup, it's not in one city. There has to be like 16 different sites for it...its not like there's one big stadium.

They would never play in Louisiana, Alabama, or Mississippi. I could see Texas, Florida, or Georgia.

If the World Cup comes to the US again I think these would be the Venues.
New Meadowlands Stadium
Cowboys Stadium
Raymond James Stadium
Rose Bowl
Soldier Field
Reliant Stadium
FeDex Field
Gilette Stadium
Lincoln Financial Field
And one more can't think of.
(just figured 10 venues but now someone is saying 16?)

Our 2022 world cup bid had sites in each of those states.

A soccer person would have to comment...all I remember is its double digits and a lot more than I would have guessed.
