If one of our football players catches the felony charge, there is no doubt in my mind they will plead down to a misdeameanor. This is why the interview was pushed back from monday until tomorrow. The lawyer, Fisher, undoubtely told the detective he was not bringing the boys in until a deal was inplace(charges, bail set, bomd already set up, etc), thus why the meeting was initially postponed indef. The DA knows he does not have a solid case(he said, she said involving drunk witnesses and friends) plus a youthful defendor who would more than likely only receive probation and get their records esponged upon completion. Depends on how backed up the court system is in BR will determine when the plea agreement becomes official.
As far as the team goes, Who knows, but Miles will probably run these guys into the ground instead of suspensions, or suspend them once the court case is finalized.

You may be right on your first paragraph but as a player, I think JJ is done.

What about Jefferson lying to everyone?
You don't think that will play a part in this?

Did you see what I wrote in the big thread last night 7th?

I think everyone ends up with simple battery. Any suspensions will be served during NWSt

I've talked about it in another thread, but I talked to the girlfriend of a starter on the team. She says he got a call at 11pm saying if the media approaches him to not comment. Also that JJ would be booked for 2nd degree battery but would plea down to simple, most likely. He is already suspended from 2 games, but Miles said it could be more. He was witnessed by several people stepping on the guys head. The fact that the guy is a marine has not even been an issue outside of a media report. Take it fwiw, I have no reason or history of being an attention whore, but this is basically from the team. He also said that some of the players have fessed up to seeing JJ do that
We may not ever even heard about 2nd degree battery. I bet they work that out today.

highly doubt that unless he gets the felony battery charge.

even a misdemeanor charge will probably get them with at least a couple game suspension.
Oh and remember to plead down...you have to recant. Which would mean someone was lying...not good.

happens all the time in college sports. I think its a crock of shite but I don't think Miles has the ball sack to sit his starting QB against the #3 team in the nation.

So another player's girlfriend knows what Jordan Jefferson is going to be charged with?

As long as Operation "Whitey QB" is still launched, I don't care. I've been force fed JJ for 3 straight years. This is like being told Santa Claus doesn't exist, and then catching that fricker coming down the chimney. THERE IS STILL HOPE PEOPLE
This.......LMAO
I think you both should be banned.
And elleshoe, from what I hear its already a done deal. He is out for at least the first two games.

then he isn't the man of integrity many claim he is...based on how he has handled players in the past for legal issues I would expect similar treatment.

The student athlete that has the want to play quarterback for the season opener should display that want and immediately move into that position for the team's sake.
