I'm sure it's some super awesome tradition, just like everything else Aggy.

the way it was explained to me was something like there are different "classes" of finger guns available depending on what grade you're in. you don't get the double fisted finger gun like he has until you're a senior - or something like that.

Good God. I'm pretty sure they sit around thinking of things they can make into "traditions".

ah dammit, might as well say despite it making no difference...

But each class level, has a "wildcat" sign and yell. Only juniors and seniors have "fake guns". I've never heard them called that, I don't know what they're suppose to be actually.

I'm guessing SEC isn't big on hand-signs...for whatever reason they're a Texas thing

It's an "inside" joke among yell leaders modifying the saying, "two in the ooo, one in the poo," to visually represent "two in the poo," since yell leaders dont have ooo's.

like i said i might be way off base but a guy i know was telling me about them a couple of years ago and i honestly didn't believe him (even though it was a hilarious story) until i saw that pic with the actual finger gun. i'm hoping we can get an aggie in here to either confirm or deny.

from what i remember it goes like this.

freshmen: single barrel finger gun; cannot "draw" your finger gun and must always be pointed down

sophomore: single barrel finger gun; cannot "draw" your finger gun but can be pointed at a downward 45 degree angle

junior: single barrel finger gun; can "draw" finger gun; can be held at 90 degree angle

senior: double barrel finger gun; can "draw" finger gun; can be held at any angle; also get to make "PEW! PEW!" sound effect when shooting.

you can only "shoot" those in grades lower than you.

And no, none of that is remotely accurate

I have several family members that graduated from A&M. I think this is correct. If I remember correctly, each grade has it's own ummm noise I guess you would call it and gang sign. Some make the whoop sound some make others.

Along the same lines...

Srs and graduates can "Whoop!'

Jrs can "A-Whoop!"

Sophs "A-A-A-A-A-A-A"

Fish "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

Is that right?
