Current States of SEC:
LA - LSU - Others - none
MS - Ole Miss, MS St - Others - none
AL - Auburn, Bama - Others - none
GA - UGA - Others - G Tech
FL - UF - Others - FSU/Miami
AR - Arky - Others - none
TN - Tenn, Vandy - Others - none
KY - KY - Others - Louisville
SC - USC - Others - Clemson

States Surrounding SEC:
TX - TX A&M, TX
OK - OU, OSU
MZ - Mizzou
Virginia - UVA or VT
North Carolina - lots of options

-------------------------------------

All this being said, I think TX A&M and a team from N.C. makes the most sense for expansion unless the SEC can sway FSU.

because it's a decent school in texas, the only two SEC eligible teams over there IMO are UT and aTm, and UT is too big and has that network shite.

and I agree with the north carolina team. makes the most sense as far as new markets/new states that fit in our boundaries.

More money for the SEC but why is the Big 12 falling apart?

Texas is the diva of the league and taking a huge cut off the top with their own network.

Is that the reason Nebraska and Colorado got out?

Would love to see aNC school as well. Probably can't get UNC but, like A&M, NC St has little brother syndrome and we might be able to pick them off. Their football team seems to be on the upswing under O'Brien and although it was many years ago they have won a national title in basketball.

Think less about geography and much more about TV markets....Houston, St.Louis, Raleigh-Durham, Washington DC, Miami

unlike the Texas schools, you will NOT be able to seperate UNC, Duke, NC State, or Wake. NCSU may have little bro syndrom, but Tobacco Road will not be fractured, just not gonna happen

agree. I don't think SEC has a chance to break up Tobacco Road group. Out of the bunch, NC State would be the last that I would want.

I enjoyed every game I went to see LSU play. Oh except for the Heat and the losing.

Per Google maps:

Baton Rouge to College Station, TX = 6 hrs
Baton Rouge to Oxford, MS = 6 hrs
Baton Rouge to Starkville, MS = 5 hrs
Baton Rouge to Little Rock, AR = 6.5 hrs

A&M is just as close as our other closest neighbors and even closer for me over here in SWLA!
