Oklahoma has said in no uncertain terms that they want nothing to do with the SEC. This is largely because they are winners in their current conference. A&M hasn't won the Big 12 since '98 and the national championship since the 30's. Being a loser in the SEC with more money than being a loser in the Big 12 makes sense for them.

A&M would never be the big team in Texas while in the same conference as UT. It makes sense for them to try an find another identity. They will never be "the" team, but being in another conference will remove them from the shadow of big brother on one level.

This is true, but you can bet Texas will not go out of its way to play them anymore if they leave the conference. If they don't play each other, A&M will have to change almost everything about their school traditions, songs, etc... They only have an identity in being little brother.

anyone else here think 16 would be too much but 14 would work nicely? just a 9 game sec schedule with the same one permanent two rotating scenario.

Yes I think 16 is to much , you would never get to play the other teams in the division unless in the championship with 16 you would have to play 8 conference games and I dont like playing 8 conference games, hell you would never play the teams in the other dicvision unlesss they were permanent rival or in championship , there needs to be some type of rotation and with 14 teams you could have that rotation

Would the SEC do a 3 division (E/Central/W) of 5 teams each?

That might be interesting.

Who would get the rivalry game with aTm?

LSU or Ark?

Idk jack about the LSU/aTm history so enlighten me.

I know Ark has history with them from SWC and our current SWC Classic Series.

Or will the SEC continue to try to make us "Rivals!"

As an LSU fan I wouldn't expect you to understand why permanent rivalries are important.

If you go by records, the LSU-TAMU game is much more of a rivalry-- 27-20-2 LSU advantage (Arkansas is 40-24-3 v. TAMU); the thing is that the SEC rivalry system already has locked these schools into 'rivalry' opponents, that have had almost two decades to mature.

A&M/LSU should play for a string of Mardis Gras beads made out of dicks.

Arky should play every game for teeth for their relatives and a new chant that doesn't sound like an excited hillbilly.
