Means absolutely nothing. Look at percentages, absolute values are completely useless. The S&P didn't even reach 800 until 1997.

There is some psychological significance associated with say 10,000 DJI, $100 oil, and 1000 S&P. Otherwise I agree with you.

Back in the day, Russian posted a log based chart for the DJIA and I thought he was just being a terd. This board has really helped me understand the financial world a lot better. At a minimum, it has encouraged me to learn more about the subjects with outside learning.
